Some test were referring to the whole source code via ${self} which amde them rebuild on every single commit.
This is not mitigated by introduceing `self.filter { include = [...]; }` allowin to a content addressed subset of the source code in tests.
The default value for clanDir did not make sense, as it pointed to the directory of the module definition
Also, we should not have a default at this level as all.
This reverts commit afbd4a984d.
